On August 1st, City of Promise hosted their annual Gamechangers Event at IX Park. At the gathering to celebrate the relationships built and collective impact made through community-focused partnership, they also awarded two deserving Charlottesville High School Seniors with $1,000 to put toward college, vocational school, or the start of their career. These scholarships were generously funded by Charlottesville community members and honor two impactful community leaders, Sarad Davenport and Desoto "De" Jordan.
Thanks to IX Park for the venue, Pearl Island for the food, and the Albemarle High School Jazz Ensemble for the music.
